
At the end of last year, we sent a survey out to artists and venue in our area, asking them what challenges they were facing, how they worked, and what they needed from a ticket sales platform. When asked what features they want most in a ticketing platform, analytics and sliding-scale fees tied for top choice with 65% of respondents for each. Front-of-house management tools, discount codes, and the ability to embed ticket sales into a website were tied for second at 58%; half of respondents want fast payments (50%), and nearly half (46%) value the ability for buyers to add a donation at the point of purchase.
Of these features, a number have been a part of our platform since our early days. Our first event launched with sliding scale fees, and this feature has been in heavy use since day one. Fast payments was part of the platform from the beginning. We added our front of house management functionality three months in based on feedback from participants in our pilot project. And we’ve been working on building out analytics- we’ve been capturing data since early last year into our reporting database, and we built our first dashboard last November.
Based on your feedback, we reprioritized our product backlog, and we’ve been working hard to deliver the features you wanted. Over the last few months, we’ve rolled out the following features:
- Discount codes (now built into the app)
- Our first analytics dashboards
- Improved front of house functionality
- Pre-show reminder emails and post-show follow up emails
But that’s not all. We’ve also added a few features our pilot participants have asked us to prioritize. Over the last few weeks we’ve delivered the following features based on specific requests:
- Tags for performance dates to advertise date specific offerings
- Social media integrations for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Better collaboration between venues and artists
